How to Manage Multiple Branches

If your dental practice operates from multiple locations, MyDentalPractice Enterprise plan lets you manage all branches from a single account.

Adding a New Branch

  • Go to Settings → Branches
  • Click + Add Branch
  • Enter the branch details:
  • - Branch name (e.g., "SmileCare Dental — Lekki")

    - Address

    - Phone number

    - Business hours

    - Branch manager (select from team members)

  • Click Create Branch
  • Switching Between Branches

    Use the branch selector in the top navigation bar:

  • Click the current branch name
  • Select the branch you want to view
  • The dashboard, appointments, and data update to show that branch
  • Branch-Specific vs. Shared Data

    Branch-Specific

  • Appointments and schedules
  • Staff schedules and attendance
  • Inventory stock levels
  • Daily revenue and reports
  • Shared Across Branches

  • Patient records (patients can visit any branch)
  • Treatment catalog and pricing
  • Invoice templates and billing settings
  • User accounts (staff can be assigned to multiple branches)
  • Staff Assignment

    Assign team members to one or more branches:

  • Go to Settings → Team Members
  • Click on a team member
  • Under Branch Assignment, select which branches they work at
  • Optionally set different schedules per branch
  • Cross-Branch Reporting

    At Analytics → Multi-Branch, view:

  • Revenue comparison across branches
  • Patient volume by location
  • Staff utilization per branch
  • Inventory status by location
  • Combined or per-branch financial reports
  • Patient Transfer

    When a patient moves between branches:

  • Their record is accessible from all branches (no transfer needed)
  • Appointment history shows which branch each visit was at
  • Invoices are tagged with the billing branch
  • Branch Permissions

    Branch managers have admin-level access within their branch but cannot modify other branches. Only the account Owner can:

  • Create or delete branches
  • Assign branch managers
  • View cross-branch analytics
  • Manage global settings
