How to Use the Onboarding Wizard

The onboarding wizard guides you through setting up your clinic step by step, ensuring nothing is missed.

When You See the Wizard

The onboarding wizard appears automatically when you:

  • Log in for the first time after creating your account
  • Click Restart Onboarding from Settings → Setup
  • Wizard Steps

    Step 1: Clinic Profile

  • Enter your clinic name and address
  • Upload your logo
  • Set your clinic code
  • Add your contact details
  • Step 2: Business Hours

  • Configure your weekly schedule
  • Set break times
  • Mark any regular closure days
  • Step 3: Treatment Catalog

  • Add the treatments you offer
  • Set default durations and prices
  • Organize by category
  • The wizard includes a pre-built list of common dental treatments you can import with one click
  • Step 4: Team Members

  • Invite your first team members
  • Assign roles
  • Each invite sends an email invitation
  • Step 5: SMS Configuration

  • Enter your SMS sender name
  • Set up appointment reminder templates
  • Send a test message to verify
  • Step 6: First Patient

  • Add your first patient record (or import from CSV)
  • Walk through the patient registration form
  • Step 7: First Appointment

  • Book a test appointment
  • See how the calendar and reminders work
  • Complete the appointment lifecycle (book → check in → complete)
  • Progress Tracking

    The wizard shows a progress bar and checklist. You can:

  • Skip any step and return later
  • Complete steps in any order
  • The checklist persists on your dashboard until all steps are done
  • Skipping the Wizard

    If you prefer to set up manually, click Skip Wizard on the first screen. You can always restart it from Settings → Setup → Restart Onboarding Wizard.

    After Onboarding

    Once all steps are complete, the wizard disappears and you see the regular dashboard. A Getting Started section remains on the dashboard for 30 days with tips and links to help articles.
