How to Change Your Password

Keep your account secure by regularly updating your password and following best practices.

Changing Your Password

  • Click your avatar in the top right corner
  • Select Profile
  • Click the Security tab
  • Click Change Password
  • Enter your current password
  • Enter your new password (twice to confirm)
  • Click Update Password
  • Password Requirements

    Your new password must meet these criteria:

  • At least 8 characters long
  • At least one uppercase letter (A-Z)
  • At least one lowercase letter (a-z)
  • At least one number (0-9)
  • At least one special character (!@#$%^&*)
  • The system rejects passwords that:

  • Match any of your last 5 passwords
  • Contain your name or email address
  • Are found in common password dictionaries
  • Forgot Your Password?

    If you cannot log in:

  • Click Forgot Password? on the login page
  • Enter your email address
  • Check your inbox for a reset link (valid for 1 hour)
  • Click the link and set a new password
  • If you do not receive the email:

  • Check your spam/junk folder
  • Verify you are using the email address associated with your account
  • Contact support at support@mydentalpractice.ng
  • Password Best Practices

  • Use a unique password not used on other websites
  • Consider using a password manager (1Password, Bitwarden, LastPass)
  • Change your password every 90 days
  • Never share your password with colleagues — each person should have their own account
