Creating a Referral
Open the patient recordClick the Referrals tabClick + New ReferralComplete the referral form:Referral Details
Referring To — Specialist name and practiceSpecialty — Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Endodontics, Periodontics, etc.Urgency — Routine, Urgent, EmergencyReason for Referral — Brief description of why the patient needs specialist careClinical Findings — Detailed findings relevant to the referralTreatment Performed — What you have done so farRadiographs Included — Attach X-rays from the patient's documentsReferral Letter Template
The system generates a formatted letter including:
Your clinic letterhead (name, address, logo)Date of referralPatient demographics (name, age, gender, contact)Relevant medical history (allergies, conditions, medications)Clinical findings and reason for referralTreatment history for the referred conditionAttached radiographs and documentsYour signature and contact informationSending the Referral
After generating the letter:
Print — PDF for physical deliveryEmail — Send directly to the specialist's emailShare — Generate a secure link the specialist can accessTracking Referrals
