How to Manage Inventory
Keep track of your dental supplies, materials, and consumables with the inventory management module. Know what you have, what you need, and when to reorder.
Accessing Inventory
Navigate to Inventory in the sidebar. The dashboard shows:
Adding Inventory Items
- Name — e.g., "Composite Resin A2"
- Category — Restorative Materials, Instruments, PPE, Anesthetics, etc.
- SKU/Code — Internal product code (optional)
- Unit — Box, Pack, Piece, Tube, Cartridge
- Current Quantity — How many you have in stock
- Reorder Level — Minimum quantity before an alert triggers
- Cost Per Unit — Purchase price per unit
- Supplier — Preferred supplier name

Record when supplies are used:
Automatic Deduction
For treatments linked to inventory items, stock is automatically deducted when a treatment is marked as completed. Configure this at Settings → Inventory → Auto-Deduction.
Categories
Organize inventory into categories for easy management:

| PPE | Gloves, masks, gowns, face shields |
| Endodontic | Files, gutta percha, sealers |

| Impression Materials | Alginate, silicone, trays |
| Disposables | Cotton rolls, gauze, bibs |
| Orthodontic | Brackets, wires, bands |
