Community Manager
Build and nurture the MyDentalPractice community of dental professionals across Africa.
About This Role
We're looking for a Community Manager to build and grow the MyDentalPractice community of dental professionals. You'll create engaging content, foster discussions, and establish MyDentalPractice as a trusted voice in the African dental industry.
This role sits at the intersection of marketing, customer success, and product. You'll engage with dentists, clinic owners, and dental students across social media, events, and our own community platforms. Your work will directly impact brand awareness, customer loyalty, and word-of-mouth referrals.
What You'll Do
- Build and manage our presence across social media (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook)
- Create engaging content: posts, videos, infographics, and educational materials
- Engage with dental professionals online—respond to comments, join conversations, build relationships
- Organize and host virtual events: webinars, AMAs, product demos
- Coordinate presence at dental conferences and industry events in Nigeria and Ghana
- Build partnerships with dental influencers, educators, and thought leaders
- Create and manage a customer advocacy program
- Gather community insights and feedback for the product team
- Monitor brand mentions and industry trends
- Track community metrics: engagement, growth, sentiment, referrals
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years in community management, social media, or content marketing
- Proven track record of building engaged online communities
- Excellent writing skills with ability to adapt tone for different platforms
- Experience creating visual content (Canva, basic video editing)
- Strong interpersonal skills and genuine interest in connecting with people
- Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting
- Self-starter who can work independently
- Passion for healthcare, technology, or both
Nice to Have
- Experience in healthcare or B2B SaaS communities
- Background in the dental industry or knowledge of dental practices
- Event planning and coordination experience
- Video production or podcast hosting skills
- Existing relationships with Nigerian healthcare professionals
- Experience with community platforms (Discord, Circle, Slack)
